LIAG First Wednesday
Monthly Gatherings

Monthly Gatherings will take place in the first week of every month on the First Wednesday of that week. These meetings will have different themes as scheduled. Some meetings are Open Forums where members discuss topics pertaining to writing, publishing and marketing.

Some meetings will have Book Showcases where members present a brief summary of their books including interesting challenges and creative features. Some meetings will have a scheduled presenter of interest to the group.

February 2nd

Long Island Authors Group's new President, John Krahn, will present his plans and aspirations for the group as well as invite proposals and answer questions.

March 2nd

Presentation by author, Russ Moran on self-publishing (to be rescheduled.)

April 6th

Presentation by author, John Cardone on publishing with Ingram Sparks: his experience.

Presentation by Jill Santopolo, New York Times Best Selling Author. Her genre includes adult, teens & children's books. She will discuss her writing, why and how she writes, and her journey into commercial publication.

May 4th

Presentation by author, Cheryl Benton on marketing.

June 1st

Presentation of LIAG Founders Award.

Presentation by Theresa Dodaro on marketing from concept to post publication.


There is no gathering scheduled for July.


There is no gathering scheduled for August.

September 7th

Presentation by Linda Frank on the recently published LIAG Anthology.

October 5th

Open Forum

November 2nd

Presentation by Shoshana Ellihou Cellers of Sassy Gal Media on Marketing: Strategy, Branding and Promotions.
