
Sandy Camillo is a lifelong advocate for women and a dynamic voice on gender, relationships, and equity. She is the author of The
Journey of an Invisible Woman and The Shocking Truth Behind What Men Really Think About Women, and her forthcoming book,
What If? Real Choices in Unreal Moments, explores the complex decisions people face when doing the right thing comes at a personal cost. She has also written numerous articles examining the realities of relationships, ageism, and women's equity, and her widely read blog brings these issues into sharp focus.
Sandy has held national leadership roles with the American Association of University Women (AAUW), serving as a Director, Secretary, and Governance Officer on its National Board. She has traveled across the country speaking with AAUW stakeholders on issues impacting women and currently serves as President-Elect of the AAUW New York State Board of Directors.
Her professional background spans education, law, and governance. Sandy has served as a school principal, paralegal, receivership specialist, realtor, court-appointed special advocate, and legal compliance and governance expert. She also served on the New York Executive Leadership Council of Autism Speaks.
She holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in education, along with postgraduate certification in administration. Sandy lives in New York with her husband, four children, a dog, and a cat. When she's not writing or advocating, you'll find her at the beach, her favorite place to reflect, recharge, and dream.
