Joseph L. Licari (Joe) is an award-winning children's book author and music instructor from Saint James, Long Island. Through engaging humor, charming illustrations, and infectious rhymes, Joe's books entertain young readers while building vocabulary, literacy skills, and a love for language. Passionate and energetic, he integrates both reading and guitar playing to bring stories to life in his dynamic author visits and interactive reading workshops at schools, libraries, and community events!His debut, Mia's Mouses is a heartwarming story that introduces plural nouns (including tricky irregular ones) through the adventures of a young girl and her mischievous mouse friends. Joe holds an MBA from Hofstra University and a B.S. from Stony Brook University. He is an active member of the Long Island Authors Group, the Smithtown Library Writing Group, Long Island Children's Writers and Illustrators (LICWI), and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). When not writing or teaching, Joe enjoys quality time with his family, playing golf, staying active, and contributing to his local church and community.
